The Ministry of Health, in partnership with #HABTech Solutions, #JSI– DUP and #HISP Ethiopia, opened the DHIS2 National Forum 2025 today at Eliana Hotel in Addis Ababa, as part of the broader Data and Digital Health Week. The forum, themed “Enhancing Data Quality Through Innovative DHIS2 Solutions”, aims to advance Ethiopia’s digital health agenda by strengthening the use of routine health data for decision-making.
Day one featured presentations on new tools including the Woreda Transformation Dashboard, the public DHIS2 dashboard, and the Integrated Data Analytics Platform using Apache Superset. Experts also shared insights on using DHIS2 to improve immunization programs, metadata management, and AI tools for building analytical skills.
A key panel discussion moderated by Dr. Adane Letta, HABTech Solutions General Manager, brought together thought leaders to discuss private sector engagement, system interoperability, sustainable capacity building, program performance, and behavioral drivers of data use in Ethiopia’s health system.
The forum continues tomorrow with sessions on data quality tools, climate and health data integration, and innovations from regional health bureaus. It will conclude with a DHIS2 #Hackathon, where local developers and researchers will present creative digital solutions to DHIS2 challenges.
