The Immunization Accelerator is a digital innovation developed in partnership with Save the Children to strengthen Ethiopia’s routine immunization system and reduce the number of zero-dose and under-immunized children.

Designed for use by health workers, program managers, and decision-makers, the Zero Dose Care Tool provides actionable insights through an integrated digital platform that supports planning, monitoring, and data-driven decision-making across all levels of the health system.

Key Features

• Bottleneck Analysis Module – Identifies and visualizes key barriers affecting immunization performance, such as access, demand, and quality gaps, to guide targeted interventions.
• Microplanning Module – Supports health workers in developing and updating detailed microplans by providing population data, target estimations, and prioritization of high-risk areas.
• EPI Performance Monitoring Dashboard – Offers real-time visualization of immunization indicators, enabling quick performance assessment and evidence-based action at facility, woreda, and regional levels.

Through these features, the Zero Dose Care Tool enhances accountability, improves resource allocation, and empowers health teams to reduce missed opportunities for vaccination. This innovation contributes to the broader goal of reaching every child and strengthening the routine immunization system across Ethiopia.
