At HABTech Solutions, we believe that strong health information systems are not built at the top; they are sustained at the ground level.
In partnership with the Ministry of Health, we recently delivered a focused DHIS2 Support Unit Training for the Regional Health Bureau support teams.
#The_goal_was_simple_but_powerful: strengthen local capacity so regions can confidently manage, troubleshoot, and sustain DHIS2 implementation.
DHIS2 is the backbone of health data management, from facilities to the national level. But as systems expand, lower-level facilities often face configuration issues, reporting errors, and data quality challenges that require timely, structured support. Waiting for central-level intervention slows momentum and affects data reliability.
During the training, we worked closely with regional teams to strengthen their ability to:
• Troubleshoot configuration and reporting issues
• Improve data validation and quality assurance practices
• Manage users, roles, and metadata effectively
• Establish clear support and escalation workflows
#The_result?
Regional teams are now better equipped to resolve most technical issues locally. Reporting errors can be identified and corrected faster. Data quality improves across districts and facilities. And communication between national and regional levels becomes more efficient and collaborative.
#Sustainable_digital_health_transformation isn’t just about deploying systems; it’s about building people, processes, and ownership at every level. We are proud to support the establishment of Regional DHIS2 Support Units as a practical step toward long-term sustainability and data-driven decision-making across the health sector.
